Caithness goes for gold
50-year-old Scottish glass makers Caithness Glass has plenty to celebrate in 2011 having been appointed an official supplier of both 2012 Olympic Games and Royal Wedding memorabilia - not to mention half a century of ground breaking glass design.
The landmark 50th anniversary of the Perthshire based company will be commemorated with a host of new limited edition paperweights that celebrate the unique history and hand crafting skills of this iconic Scottish brand.
Caithness is also now one of the very select Scottish companies appointed to supply commemorative gifts and souvenirs for the 2012 Olympic Games. Caithness’ licensing arrangement with the London 2012 organisation – one of just a handful among Scottish businesses - will provide the company with a unique opportunity to sell specially commissioned paperweights and art glass throughout 2011 and 2012.
Furthermore avid collectors and Royal enthusiasts alike will relish of the forthcoming Royal Wedding which is being celebrated with a number of special pieces marking both the engagement and marriage of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.
